ENGIE Stadium

Sydney's Home of the Beautiful Game

Home to the Western Sydney Wanderers and a regular host of marquee football fixtures, ENGIE Stadium has a character that is distinct from its Olympic Park neighbours; more intimate, more intense, and deeply connected to the community that has shaped Western Sydney football into what it is today.

With a capacity of around 30,000, it is a ground that generates atmosphere in a way that scales well: large enough to feel like a genuine occasion, compact enough that the game is always close and the crowd always felt. A-League nights here carry a particular energy, and international fixtures at ENGIE regularly draw supporters who bring a depth of football knowledge that enriches the whole experience.

The stadium sits within the Sydney Olympic Park precinct, which means a night at ENGIE can easily extend into something more, dinner before the match, a drink in the precinct afterwards, and a short trip back to the hotel when the evening feels complete.

Whether you’re a regular at Wanderers matches or visiting Sydney for a football occasion worth the trip, Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport is a natural and comfortable base.

Getting to ENGIE Stadium from Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport

By car: The drive from the hotel to ENGIE Stadium takes approximately 20–25 minutes via the M5 and Homebush Bay Drive. Parking is available across the Olympic Park precinct (pre-booking is recommended for sold-out fixtures).

By train: Take the Airport & East Hills Line from Mascot to the city and connect to the Olympic Park line for direct services to the precinct. The journey takes around 35–45 minutes. Event services run frequently before and after matches and are well-suited to the crowds.

By taxi or rideshare: A direct trip from the hotel takes around 20–25 minutes in normal traffic. Post-match rideshare demand moves quickly after the final whistle, booking your return a little ahead of time is a sensible approach.
