Pitt Street Mall
The CBD's Best Retail, Two Stops Away
Sydney’s retail heartland sits at the centre of the CBD and from Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport, it is closer than most visitors realise.
Pitt Street Mall is the city’s busiest and most celebrated shopping precinct, anchored by Westfield Sydney and the historic Strand Arcade at one end and connecting through to the Queen Victoria Building, one of the finest examples of Romanesque Revival architecture in the world and a shopping experience unlike any other in the country. Between them, the full breadth of Australian and international retail is represented, from flagship stores and department stores to independent boutiques, jewellers and specialty retailers.
The surrounding streets extend the offer considerably. The MLC Centre on Martin Place, Castlereagh Street’s luxury precinct and the laneways connecting Pitt and George Streets add depth and variety to what is already one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most complete retail destinations.
For leisure travellers, visitors building a shopping day into their Sydney itinerary and those with specific retail objectives, the connection from the hotel is straightforward and fast. Mascot Station is a five minute walk, Central is two stops away, and from Central the mall is a 10 minute walk through the CBD or a single stop on the City Circle to Town Hall Station.
