UNSW & University of Sydney

A Natural Base for Students, Academics and Visiting Families

UNSW Sydney, located in Kensington, consistently ranks among the leading universities in the world and is particularly renowned for its engineering, law, medicine and business faculties. Its campus is just a short journey from the hotel, making Crowne Plaza a practical and comfortable choice for visiting academics, conference delegates, prospective students and families accompanying new arrivals at the start of the academic year.

The University of Sydney, established in 1850 as Australia’s first university, occupies one of the most architecturally significant campuses in the country. Set in Camperdown in Sydney’s inner west, it draws visitors, researchers and conference attendees from across the globe throughout the academic calendar. The sandstone quadrangle and surrounding grounds are among the finest examples of Victorian-era collegiate architecture in the Southern Hemisphere and reward a visit in their own right.

For families travelling from interstate or internationally to help a student settle in, or for academics visiting for research, conferences or faculty engagements, the hotel offers a premium and well-connected base. Mascot Station is a five minute walk, and Central Station is just two stops away, from where both campuses are comfortably accessible.
